Top earner on YT ? Anastasia Radzinskaya is an unlikely media star. Born in southern Russia with cerebral palsy, her doctors feared she would never be able to speak. To document her development through treatments, her parents posted videos of her on YouTube so friends and relatives could see the progress. The videos are typical kid stuff: playdates with dad, jumping around on an inflatable castle and playing with her cat, each video accompanied by catchy jingles and voice-over giggles. She soon gained followers around the world. Her biggest hit was a 2018 trip to the petting zoo with her father Yuri that featured the two dancing to child favorite “Baby Shark,” milking a pretend cow and eating ice cream. That video has garnered 767 million views, the top draw for a growing media business that has funneled $18 million to the Radzinskayas between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019.
These coming-of-age movies are getting younger and younger, but the Seth Rogen-produced Good Boys starring Jacob Tremblay is a perfectly matured film to enter into the canon. Good Boys follows the traditional adolescent adventure movie format, mixing a heavy dose of bawdiness with an endearing enough storyline. The strength is in the cast though. Tremblay is joined by Brady Noon and Keith L. Williams in a tale of boys who aren’t old enough to be badasses but too badass to be babies. Been there, my man.
The internet loves animals. So the fact that this clip ranks in the top 10 most popular YouTube humor clips ever should come as no surprise. The clip is only 17 seconds long, but it’s guaranteed to lighten your mood. In the video, a mother panda is chewing away on a snack while her baby naps on the ground next to her. Suddenly the baby sneezes and surprises everyone watching. Discover extra amazing movies on YT.
Best video for a song in 2019 ? Lizzo made her name this year with her powerfully positive affirmations of selfhood, but Tempo tees off in much snarkier style: “Slow songs, they for skinny hoes,” she declares. “I’m a thick bitch, I need tempo.” Sure enough, this is a sterner, clubbier track than her other big 2019 hits Juice and Truth Hurts (the latter not eligible for this list as it first came out in 2017). Her incitement to cunnilingus is admirably casual, but Missy Elliott steals the show with her menagerie of purrs and trills.
